Most buyers contact the breeder before a litter is born -
this is why we announce the breedings ahead of time.
It gives the buyer time to research the breed and/or the bloodlines.
It gives us time to get to know each other a little bit better.
It gives us time to establish a relationship. It takes time to build trust.
We place our puppies in loving homes where they are treated as a pet
first,
whether they are a pet, part of a small breeding program or a top show
dog...

Puppies will be socialized with Cathys 4 children ~ the puppies are raised
in Cathys kitchen & living room - & she has many Great Danes of various
ages running about!
Cathys Mom & Dad & friends drop in almost daily to help out.
Great socialization with other dogs, adults & kids.
These puppies will get lots of attention from Day 1!
They are handled several times a day and weighed daily.
They will be supplemented with the bottle.
The kids are very active in taking care of the puppies.
Butter is an EXCELLENT mother.
Cathy trains dogs & runs training classes.
She and her husband own a big Pole Barn Building on their property
which serves as the training facility.
She is very active in showing Great Danes and Neos.

We breed for ourselves first.
Cathy & I (Wendy) both intend to keep a puppy from this litter.
Its possible the Stud Owner may also want one...
If there arent any puppies from this litter, we will repeat the breeding
and you will keep your place on the list.

We are expecting all four colors -
Wendy is leaning towards the first Pick Black or Mahogany Male,
Cathy may want the first Pick Female of whatever color (possibly Black)
That leaves Tawny, Mahogany & Blue, 1st & 2nd Picks.
If the Stud Owner takes a Pick, she gets 1st Pick (after us) of
whatever color.
Picks arent made until the puppies are at least 7 weeks old.

Puppies, with a few exceptions,
Are suitable for Breeding and/or Showing in AKC Shows...
We do NOT guarantee Championships.
There are many, many steps and sometimes obstacles that precede
a Championship that have nothing to do with how great the dog is...
Ask anyone who has bred, shown or owned a dog through its
Championship...or who hasnt received the Championship & really
deserves it.

I need to know how you raise your dogs and
how you consider your dogs as part of your life.
We consider our dogs (show and breeding dogs) as our pets first.
They live in our home.
If I could afford a luxurious kennel for them attached to my home,
I would do it.
I would need to have a room for myself included in it!
